EPE Groupe Industriel SIDER Spa is launching a National and International Call for Expressions of Interest for a preselection of manufacturer partners owning vehicle brands, as part of the national strategy for the development of the automotive industry and in accordance with the provisions of Executive Decree no. 22-384 of November 17, 2022.
The aim of this call for expressions of interest is to shortlist brand-owning vehicle manufacturers to establish a Strategic Industrial Partnership with an objective to locally produce a range of vehicles in accordance to the needs of the Algerian market, and complying with the requirements of the specifications for vehicle manufacturing in Algeria. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a second, more in-depth selection phase.
EPE Groupe Industriel SIDER has industrial real estate assets in strategic locations, which are poised to become the home of an automotive manufacturing and distribution business. As a key player in the Algerian steel industry, belonging to the IMETAL Spa Group, Groupe Industriel SIDER is part of a network of subsidiaries that offer a great opportunity to cover the value chain through subcontracting.
Partnership objectives :
The Industrial partnership is based on the following points:
· Local production of vehicles under license, in compliance with Algerian Specifications, particularly with regard to local integration and environmental standards.
· Technology transfer to reinforce local industrial capacities and ensure adequate training of personnel.
· Development of a range of vehicles tailored to the specific needs of the Algerian market, while ensuring adaptability for export to other markets.
. Enhancement of local capacity by identifying and approving local suppliers in line with automotive industry specifications, to ensure gradual integration.
